MEETING OF THE HICKORY COUNTY LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Monday, June 10, 2013
The regular meeting of the Hickory County
Library Board was held June 10, 2013 at 9:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library,
99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 9:00am.

The attendance was taken
via the expense voucher. Also in attendance was Library Assistant Manager Tina Davis.
The minutes from the May meeting were reviewed, after reviewing the meeting minutes,
Gerda Fitts made a motion to approve as presented, Eva Cooper seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Administrator Coulsell noted that she had booked all of the Library’s summer
programs for children. She is looking into planning some author speaking engagements for adult programming.
Coulsell also reported that she was investigating expanding the Library’s e-book service to add faster accessibility
to bestseller titles. Administrator Coulsell noted that the Library parking lot had been sealed and repaired
by Jones Paving, and that the parking lot had been striped as well.
Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for May. The balance as of June
10, 2013 was $104,472.86 this reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial
Reports for May, Judy Baker made the motion to accept the report as presented. Sharon Barrett seconded,
and the motion carried unanimously.
The Library’s Circulation
Report was presented by Library Assistant Manager Tina Davis for May. There were 18 new cards issued with a Total Circulation
for May of 3730.
Under President’s Report
–President Hal Geltmacher discussed the Library’s compliance with newspaper within 72 hours, and has the minutes
available online on the Library’s website within 72 hours as well. The agenda for the meetings is
posted at least 24 hours in advance of the meetings, and times and dates of the meetings are listed in the newspaper.
Under Association Report-Association Treasurer Stacy Coulsell gave an update on the
Association Balance and noted that both the annual insurance and annual USDA payment had been made.
Under Old Business, the Board discussed Equalization funds for 2013 and what those funds had been utilized

had available for sale to the public t-shirts for the upcoming Hickory County Fair.
Having no further business and hearing no public comment. The meeting adjourned at 10:17am.
The next meeting is to be July 8, 2013 at 9:00am
