HICKORY COUNTY LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Monday, June 9. 2014
The regular meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held June 9, 2014 at 10:00am in the Hickory County
Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library, 99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:09am.
Members present were:
President, Hal Geltmacher
Treasurer, Gerda Fitts
Secretary, Judy Baker
Trustee, Eva Cooper
Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator
Attendance was taken
via the travel expense voucher. Board Vice-President Sharon Barrett was absent.
Also in attendance was Library Assistant Manager Tina Davis.
minutes from the May meeting were reviewed, after reviewing the minutes Gerda Fitts moved to accept the minutes as presented,
Judy Baker seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Stacy Coulsell gave the Administrator’s report for June. Coulsell noted that there were a slate of
activities planned for the summer. Coulsell read a thank you from Congresswoman Vicki Hartzler’s
office, thanking the Library for the opportunity to meet with the local community. Coulsell also reported
that the Library had received a notice from the Lowell Clinton Estate office.
Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for May. The balance as of June
9, 2014 was $106,924.84. This reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. Coulsell also reported
that the Library had received Athlete and Entertainment funds. After hearing the Financial Reports for
May, Eva Cooper made the motion to accept the report as presented. Gerda Fitts seconded, and the motion
The Library’s Circulation Report was presented by
Tina Davis for May. There were 19 new cards issued with a Total Circulation for May of 3879. Noting
a record high for the year in internet usage, Audiobook and Children’s Fiction check-outs.
Under President’s Report—President Hal Geltmacher had nothing to report.
Under Association Report—Association Treasurer Stacy Coulsell noted that the annual payment for the
USDA loan had been made and that the annual insurance payment had been made at the beginning of the month.
Under Friends of the Library—it was noted that the Friends were having their bimonthly meeting and
the program was Tales from an Apron.
Under Old Business, Library Administrator
Stacy Coulsell reported that four new computers had been ordered and were in place with the use of Equalization funds.
Upcoming plans were parking lot repair. Coulsell is still investigating costs on a security

of the air conditioner units needed to be repaired.
under New Business, Gerda Fitts moved to declare four HP Pavillion p6300z computers as salvaged material and that they were
up for sale to the general public on a first come, first serve basis, including that this would be posted in the paper.
Eva Cooper seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
