MINUTES HAVE BEEN APPROVED AS READ AT THE OCTOBER 13, 2014 MEETING
Monday, September 8, 2014
regular meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held September 8, 2014 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community
Room, at the Hickory County Library, 99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:20am.
Members present were:
Vice-President, Sharon Barrett
Treasurer, Gerda Fitts
Secretary, Judy Baker
Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator
Attendance was taken via the expense voucher. Assistant
Manager Tina Davis was absent.
The minutes from the August
meeting were reviewed, after reviewing the minutes Gerda Fitts moved to accept the minutes as presented, Eva Cooper seconded
and the motion carried unanimously.
Stacy Coulsell gave the Administrator’s report. Coulsell reported that there were two more children’s
programs scheduled for the year, Ventriloquist Kevin Horner on September 25th in the evening, and Parasol Puppets
would perform October 25th at 11:00am. She also noted that the story hours with the Preschool
and Head Start groups would resume during the month of September. Coulsell also reported that there would
be an adult program on October 13th at 11:00am, featuring Jerry Barlow a Celtic guitarist.
Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for August
. The balance as of September 8, 2014 was $77334.90. This reflects the balance of both the Library accounts.
After hearing the Financial Reports for August, Eva Cooper made the motion to accept the report as presented.
Judy Baker seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The Library’s Circulation Report was presented by Administrator Stacy Coulsell for August. There
were 39 new cards issued with a Total Circulation for August of 4558. Noting record highs in Audiobook checkouts and
Library Card Registration.
Report-Library Board President Hal Geltmacher had nothing to report
Under Library Association-Association President Sharon Barrett had nothing to report.
Under Friends-Administrator Coulsell reported that the Annual Friends of the
Library Book Sale would be October 15-18th.
Old Business-it was noted that all Equalization funds had been expended.
Under New Business-Administrator Coulsell reported that the Library had two new volunteers, Patricia Benedict
and Sherryl Nelson, each volunteering two days per week.
no public comment and having no further business the meeting adjourned at 11:00am.
