Monday, June 8, 2015
The regular meeting of the Hickory
County Library Board was held June 8, 2015 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County
Library, 99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:01am.
President, Hal Geltmacher
Vice-President Sharon Barrett
Trustee, Eva Cooper
Secretary, Judy Baker
Stacy Coulsell, Library
Attendance was taken via the expense voucher.
After reviewing the agenda, Sharon Barrett moved to accept the agenda as presented,
Gerda Fitts seconded, and the motion carried.
The minutes from
the May meeting were reviewed, after reviewing the minutes Judy Baker moved to accept the minutes as presented, Eva Cooper
seconded and the motion carried.
Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell
gave the Administrator’s report. Administrator Coulsell noted that the “Reading has Gone
to the Dogs” continued. She reported that the summer program schedule had been published in the newspaper.
She also shared a thank you letter from Lt. Governor Kinder’s office for hosting the Legislative talks during
the month of April. Coulsell reported that Osage Wind Rider Robert Roe would be performing
at the August Friends of the Library meeting, he is a Native American flute player and storyteller.
Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for April. The balance as of May 11, 2015 was $127,822.92
this reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial Reports for April, Sharon Barrett
made the motion to accept the report as presented, Judy Baker seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The Library’s Circulation Report for May was presented by Tina Davis. The Library had 18 new
Library cards, 247 e-book check outs, and 327 reference visits. The total circulation for the month of May was 3670.
It was noted that the Library was closed, two days in May on the 16th and the 25th in honor of

Under Library Association—Library
Association Treasurer Stacy Coulsell reported that the annual payment to the USDA had been made and the property insurance
had been paid for the Association.
Under Friend-Coulsell noted
that the Friends were meeting later that day, and the program was on Machu Picchu, presented by Nancy Underwood.
Under Old Business- Coulsell noted that 2015 Equalization funds had been received.
Administrator Coulsell presented the board with one bid for the office carpeting, she is currently waiting on two additional
bids before a decision can be made. Coulsell reported that the Library would purchase an interactive
foreign language program and it would be offered with remote access. Coulsell gave an update on MOREnet
internet content filtering fees for the upcoming year.
Business-Hal Geltmacher reported that he and Administrator Coulsell would be attending the Hermitage City Council meeting
later that day to discuss placement of the Library’s water meter.
Also Under New Business, Sharon Barrett moved to declare a Brother ML 100 typewriter as salvaged material
and approved it to be disposed of. Gerda Fitts seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Hearing no public comment and having no further business,
the meeting adjourned at 10:55am
