The regular meeting
of the Hickory County Library Board was held March 14, 2016 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the
Hickory County Library, 99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:00am.

The minutes from the February meeting were reviewed.
Gerda Fitts moved to accept the minutes as read. Eva Cooper seconded, and the motion carried.
Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell gave the Administrator’s report.
Coulsell reported that Reading Has Gone to the Dogs continued each Saturday. Coulsell noted that
the Preschool Story Hour and Head Start Story Hour continued. Administrator Coulsell reported that she had submitted a Technology
Grant Ladder application to the State Library. Administrator Coulsell reported that she had submitted the
annual report to the USDA on behalf of the Library Association. She also had completed the annual Equalization
Report to the State Library. Coulsell noted that she had begun working on a Technology Plan for the Library,
this report is required by the State Library for each library to review every three years. Coulsell is
researching adult and children’s programming for the late spring and summer.
Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for February. The balance as of
March 14, 2016
was $157,915.16 this reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial Reports for February

The Library’s Circulation Report for February
was presented by Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell. The Library had 28 new Library cards.
The total circulation for the month of February was 4092.
Under President’s Report-Library Board President Hal Geltmacher had nothing to report.
Association-Library Association President Sharon Barrett had nothing to report
Under Friends-There was none
Under Old Business—Library Administrator Stacy
Coulsell reported that the position of Library Clerk had been filled.
Business- The Library welcomed new staff member Jeddie Bristow, she will be working at the Library on a part-time basis.
Also under New Business, the Board reviewed a request Administrator Stacy Coulsell to declare an item as salvaged
material. Sharon Barrett moved to declare a Dell Projector, model number 3200MP,
DLP Front Projector, aged at approximately thirteen years, purchased in 2003 as salvaged material.
Gerda Fitts moved to accept the motion and the motion carried unanimously.
Hearing no public comment and having no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:55am.
