OF THE HICKORY COUNTY LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Monday, September 12, 2016
The regular meeting of the Hickory
County Library Board was held September 12, 2016 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County
Library, 99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:10am.
President, Hal Geltmacher
Vice-President Sharon Barrett
Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator
Attendance was taken via the expense voucher. Trustee Judy Baker was absent.
After reviewing the agenda Sharon Barrett moved to accept the agenda as presented. Gerda
Fitts seconded and the motion carried.
The minutes from the
August meeting were reviewed. Sharon Barrett moved to approve the minutes. Gerda Fitts seconded and
the motion carried.
Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell gave the Administrator’s
report. Coulsell noted that there would be one final special program in October, Cowgirl Songstress
Judy Coder would perform. This program will coincide with the upcoming Friends of the Library book sale.
Coulsell reported that the Technology Mini-Grant had been awarded to the Library, she will be purchasing five iPads
with this grant.
Administrator Coulsell presented
the Financial Reports for August. The balance as of
September 12, 2016 was $76,194.84 this reflects the balance of
both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial Reports for August, Sharon Barrett made the motion to accept
the Financial Reports as presented. Gerda Fitts seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The Library’s Circulation Report for August was presented by Library Administrator
Stacy Coulsell. The Library had 20 new Library cards. The total circulation for the
month of August was 4293. It was noted that August reflected the highest overall circulation
for the year, even with the resurfacing on Highway 54.
Report-there was none.
Under Friends-It was noted that the
Friends of the Library will host their annual book sale the week of October 10, 2016.
Under the Library Association-there was none.
Under Old Business—Administrator Coulsell reported that the Library had upgraded the internet
speed from 5.0Mbps to 10.0 Mbps. The Library will soon offer an interactive language program available
through the library’s website.
Under New Business—Coulsell
is investigating a Digital Yearbook project. Coulsell presented the Board with a Preliminary Budget for
fiscal year 2017.
Having no further business
and hearing no public comment. The meeting adjourned at 10:45am.
