Monday, July 17, 2017
The regular meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held July 17, 2017 at
10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library, 99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri,
President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:01am.
Members present were:
President, Hal Geltmacher
Vice-President, Sharon Barrett
Secretary, Judy Baker
Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator
Treasurer, Gerda Fitts was absent. Attendance was taken via the

The minutes from the June Regular meeting were reviewed. Shelly Aubuchon moved to accept the minutes as presented,
Judy Baker seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Stacy Coulsell gave her Administrator’s Report—Adminstrator Stacy Coulsell reported that the Library had completed
the Annual State Aid Application, CIPA (Children’s Internet Protection Act) Compliance Form and updated the List of
Library Board Trustees, these forms had been submitted to the State Library. Library Administrator Stacy
Coulsell reported that Computer Instructor Bill Arnold had begun a series of Tablet Classes as an outreach service held at
the McCarty Senior Center in Wheatland, the classes featured the Osmo system with letter tiles, tangrams, and the masterpiece,
the goal was to reach the young and the young at heart as a form of physical therapy. Coulsell reported
that there was to be a special program held on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 featuring Brian Wendling, he is a comedian and juggler,
this is a first appearance at the Library. To date all the programs held have been well attended.
Continued “Lightning Labs” with the new iPads would be held later in the month of July. Coulsell
is also nearly ready to launch a series of adult guided painting classes.
Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for July. The balance as of July 17, 2017, was $94,159.14,
2017 this reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial Reports
for July, Sharon Barrett made the motion to accept the Financial Reports as presented. Shelly Aubuchon seconded, and the motion

the Library had 27 new cards during the month. And the highest circulation for the year with 4034 items
circulated. Ten items more than the previous month, noting year highs in Adult Fiction and Children’s
Under President’s Report there was none.
Under Library Association Report-Library Association Treasurer Stacy Coulsell noted
that the Annual Corporation Filing Fee for the Library Association had been submitted, and that the new air conditioning system
had been installed.
Under Friends there was none.
Under Old Business-Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell had made the deposit to Blade Signs in Bolivar to
complete the Library’s Outdoor sign.
Also Under Old Business,
it was noted that President Hal Geltmacher and Vice-President Sharon Barrett’s Library Board terms had been reappointed
by the County Commission until 2021.

Stacy Coulsell submitted the Quarterly Balance Report for Second Quarter 2017 for review, after reviewing the report, Judy
Baker moved to accept the report, Shelly Aubuchon seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
