Monday, April 13, 2015
The regular meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held April 13, 2015 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library, 99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:01am.
Members present were:

Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator
Absent was Assistant Manager Tina Davis, attendance was taken via the expense voucher.
The minutes from the March meeting were reviewed, after reviewing the minutes Gerda Fitts moved to accept the minutes as presented, Eva Cooper seconded and the motion carried.
Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell gave the Administrator’s report. Coulsell reported that the story hours with the preschool and head start groups were ongoing. Administrator Coulsell noted that the “Reading has Gone to the Dogs” continued, with a Special Program “A Dog Gone Fun Party” at the Hickory County Senior Center. Coulsell reported that the next session of adult computer classes was slated to begin, Tuesday, April 14th and run for eight weeks, these classes will be instructed by Bill Arnold. Coulsell reported that she had finalized the summer children’s programs.
Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for March. The balance as of April 13, 2015 was $136,492.62 this reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial Reports for March, Eva Cooper made the motion to accept the report as presented, Judy Baker seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The Library’s Circulation Report for March was presented by Administrator Stacy
Coulsell. The Library had 19 new Library cards and the total circulation for the month of March was 4142.
Under President’s Report-Library Board President Hal Geltmacher had nothing to report.
Under Library Association—Library Association Treasurer Stacy Coulsell presented financial reports for the Library Association.
Under Friend-Coulsell noted that the April Friends of the Library program would feature local author, Sandy Sprott, author of the Little Kicker series, later on in the day.
Under Old Business- Coulsell reported that two computers had been purchased with granting funds made available by the Technology Mini-Grant through the State Library. Coulsell is awaiting the final decision on the Digitization Grant, this grant would allow for 1884-1964 Hickory County historical records and newspapers to be scanned and made available in a digital format.
Under New Business-the Board discussed potential Equalization funds for
Fiscal Year 2015, if any. If these funds are released, the Board discussed potential projects to utilized as funds allow. Administrator Coulsell presented the First Quarter Balance Report for 2015. Sharon Barrett moved to accept the report as presented, Eva Cooper seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Also Under New Business the board discussed being closed on May 16, 2015. Coulsell presented the Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2014, this report is due to the State Auditor’s office and is a report of all the library’s financial transactions and a narrative report of staff, programming, and library circulation. After reviewing the report, Judy Baker moved to accept the report as presented, Eva Cooper seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Hearing no public comment and having no further business, the meeting adjourned at 10:45am.
