The regular meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held August 10, 2015 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library, 99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.

President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:00am.

Members present were:

President, Hal Geltmacher

Treasurer, Gerda Fitts

Secretary, Judy Baker

Trustee, Eva CooperStacy Coulsell, Library Administrator

Also in Attendance was Assistant Manager Tina Davi. Vice-President Sharon Barrett was absent. Attendance was taken via the expense voucher.

After reviewing the agenda Gerda Fitts moved to accept the agenda as presented, Eva Cooper seconded, and the motion carried.

The minutes from the July meeting were reviewed, after reviewing the minutes Eva Cooper moved to accept the minutes as presented, Gerda Fitts seconded and the motion carried.

Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell gave the Administrator’s report. Coulsell also reported that Bill Arnold continued with his adult computer classes offering an Excel spreadsheet course. Administrator Coulsell reported that Bill Arnold was continuing the Reading Has Gone to the Dogs program. Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell noted that Alyson Lile would be leaving the Library with the starting of school. She had been a participant of the summer job corps program through West Central.

Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for July. The balance as of August 10, 2015 $113,558.32 this reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial Reports for July, Judy Baker made the motion to accept the report as presented, Eva Cooper seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.

The Library’s Circulation Report for June was presented by Tina Davis. The Library had 21 new Library cards. The total circulation for the month of July was 4128. Noting the highest circulation for the year in Children’s Fiction and Non-Fiction of 500 and 97. This is exceptional as the Library was closed due to the Independence Day holiday and two days for carpet installation and maintenance.

Under President’s Report-Library Board President Hal Geltmacher had nothing to report.

Under Association Report-Association Treasurer Stacy Coulsell reported that the Association would be filing its annual corporation report with the Secretary of State’s office.

Under Friends-The Friends of the Library were hosting Robert Roe, also known as the Osage WindRider, Robert is a Native American Flute Player and from the Jefferson City area. This will be his first performance at the Library.

Under Old Business-Coulsell has allocated the remains of the Equalization funds. Coulsell also reported that the building’s water meter would be moved as local backhoe contractor Colter Spradling was available.

Under New Business-It was noted that Assistant Manager Tina Davis would be resigning from the Library for another position.

Hearing no public comment and having no further business. The meeting adjourned at 10:40am.

The next meeting is to be September 14, 2015 at 10:00am
