OF THE HICKORY COUNTY LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES
Monday, July 13, 2015
The regular meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held July 13, 2015 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library, 99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:15am.
Members present were:

Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator
Also in Attendance was Assistant Manager Tina Davis and one member of the public Alyson Lile.
Attendance was taken via the expense voucher.
After reviewing the agenda, Sharon Barrett moved to accept the agenda as presented, Gerda Fitts seconded, and the motion carried.
The minutes from the June meeting were reviewed, after reviewing the minutes Judy Baker moved to accept the minutes as presented, Eva Cooper seconded and the motion carried.
Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell gave the Administrator’s report. Administrator Coulsell reported that she had completed and submitted the Annual Certificate of Compliance, State Aid Certification, and the Annual List of the Library Board of Trustees. Coulsell reported that both the Ventriloquist and Exotic Bird Show had been successful, with the bird show having the largest turnout of 45 patrons. Coulsell also reported that Bill Arnold continued with his adult computer classes offering an Excel spreadsheet course, and was looking to some other advanced computer topics as well. Coulsell also reported that the Library was represented at Market Day by Bill Arnold and the Reading Has Gone to the Dogs program. Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell also introduced Alyson Lile to the Library Board. Alyson will be working at the library through a Summer Job Corps program sponsored by West Central Community Action Agency.
Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for April. The balance as of July 13, 2015 was $123,574.74 this reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial Reports for June, Sharon Barrett made the motion to accept the report as presented, Eva Cooper seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The Library’s Circulation Report for June was presented by Tina Davis. The Library had 24 new Library cards. The total circulation for the month of June was 4107. Noting the highest circulation for the year in Children’s Fiction of 428, and visits recorded at 410, this includes summer programming and beginning June 1, 2015 also includes reference calls.
Under President’s Report-Library Board President Hal Geltmacher had nothing to report.
Under Friends-There was none
Under Old Business-Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell reported that the Living Language program had been postponed until the MOREnet upgrade had been completed.
Under New Business-The board reviewed Carpet bids, after reviewing the bids submitted, Sharon Barrett moved to accept the bid from Lakeside Carpet Interiors for new office carpeting. Gerda Fitts seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Also Under New Business—Administrator Coulsell presented the Library Board with the Second Quarter Balance Report for 2015. After reviewing the report, Judy Baker moved to accept the report as presented, Sharon Barrett seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
Under New Business—It was noted that Treasurer Gerda Fitts had been re-appointed until June 30, 2019.
Hearing no public comment and having no further business. The meeting adjourned at 11:20am.
