The regular meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held May 11, 2015 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library, 99 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:01am.
Members present were:

Vice-President Sharon Barrett
Treasurer, Gerda Fitts
Trustee, Eva Cooper
Secretary, Judy Baker
Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator
Absent was Assistant Manager Tina Davis, attendance was taken via the expense voucher.
The minutes from the April meeting were reviewed, after reviewing the minutes Gerda Fitts moved to accept the minutes as presented, Eva Cooper seconded and the motion carried.
Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell gave the Administrator’s report. Coulsell reported that the story hours with the preschool and head start groups were ongoing. Administrator Coulsell noted that the “Reading has Gone to the Dogs” continued. Coulsell noted that she would be reading to the K-6 grades at Wheatland School tomorrow for their I Love Reading Week program. Coulsell reported that West Central would be replacing the job search computer with a more up to date system.
Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for April. The balance as of May 11, 2015 was $127,822.92 this reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial Reports for April, Sharon Barrett made the motion to accept the report as presented, Judy Baker seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
The Library’s Circulation Report for April was presented by Administrator Stacy
Coulsell. The Library had 28 new Library cards and the total circulation for the month of April was 3964.
Under President’s Report-Library Board President Hal Geltmacher had nothing to report.
Under Library Association—Library Association Treasurer Stacy Coulsell reported that the annual payment to the USDA had been made and the property insurance had been paid for the Association.
Under Friend-Coulsell noted that the Friends will be conducting a Fall Book Sale, the date is to be announced.
Under Old Business- Coulsell reported the final decision on the Digitization Grant had been made, and that the project to allow for 1884-1964 Hickory County historical records and newspapers to be scanned and made available in a digital format was underway. Coulsell reported that 2015 Equalization funds had been received.
Under New Business there was none.
Hearing no public comment and having no further business, the meeting adjourned at 11:15am
