Monday, January 31, 2022

The Annual Meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held January 31, 2022 at 11:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library, 18376 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.

President Shelly Aubuchon called the meeting to order at 11:05am.

Members present were:
President, Shelly Aubuchon
Vice-President, Ernest Jenkins
Secretary, Judy Baker
Treasurer, Brenda Charles
Trustee, Eleanora Smith
Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator

Secretary, Judy Baker was absent. Attendance was taken via the expense voucher.

Eleanora Smith moved to accept the Agenda as presented. Ernest Jenkins seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.

Ernest Jenkins moved to accept the minutes as read; Eleanora Smith seconded and the motion carried unanimously.

Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell presented her report. She noted that the Library continued to host volunteers Elli Robinson and Lillee Griffith.  Coulsell is currently investigating in-person programs for both summer and fall special programs. Administrator Coulsell is looking into adding additional streaming services to the Library’s electronic databases.  Coulsell reported that local 4-H groups are utilizing the Library’s Community Room for project nights. She also reported that the West Central Community Action agency will be offering three personal finance classes in February, May and September at the Library.

Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for December. The balance as January 31, 2022 was $157, 593.85. This reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. Brenda Charles moved to accept the Financial Reports for December as presented, Eleanora Smith seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.

Coulsell presented the Circulation Report for December. The Library had 13 new cards with a Total Circulation of 3,972. She noted the Library had been closed December 15th, 24th, 25th and at noon on December 31st.

Under President’s Report -  There was none.

Under Library Association Report - It was noted that the annual USDA Financial Report is due on February 28, 2022.

Under Friends - It was noted that the Friends of the Library are looking at additional options for resale of donated books.

Under Old Business - It was noted that two additional Little Libraries will be placed in Galmey and Pittsburg.

Under New Business - Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell presented the Fourth Quarter Balance Report.

The next meeting will be February 21, 2022 at 11:00am.

Having no other business and hearing no public comment the meeting adjourned at 11:40am.
