May 2018 Regular Monthly Meeting

The regular meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held May 21, 2018 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library, 18376 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.

President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:00am.
Members present were:
President, Hal Geltmacher
Secretary, Judy Baker
Treasurer, Gerda Fitts
Trustee, Shelly Aubuchon
Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator
Vice-President, Sharon Barrett was available via phone. Attendance was taken via the expense voucher.

After reviewing the agenda Shelly Aubuchon moved to approve the agenda as read. Gerda Fitts seconded and the motion carried unanimously.

Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell gave her monthly report. She reported that Story Hours with both the Preschool and the area Head Start had been completed for the school year. It was noted that Stacy Coulsell will begin a weekly story hour with grades K-2 in partnership with the Hermitage School to run the course of summer, beginning in June. Chef Jamie Hennessy had completed the Cinco de Mayo craft day on May 5, 2018. She will host the next session of Crafts on June 9th and featuring a Father’s Day craft. Coulsell reported that there had been seven in attendance with the second Adult Guided Painting class; Coulsell also noted that there will be more adult geared activities in the future. Coulsell reported that she and another staff member, Alyson Lile will be attending the Book Expo America in New York later in the month. Coulsell reported that Bill Arnold will host an adult computer class beginning later in June.

Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for April. The balance as of May 21, 2018 was $99,734.48 this reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial Reports for May. Sharon Barrett made the motion to accept the Financial Reports as presented. Judy Baker seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
