Monday, September 10, 2018
The Annual Meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held September 10, 2018 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library, 18376 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:00am.

Trustee, Shelly Aubuchon
Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator
Library Board Secretary Judy Baker was absent. Attendance was taken via the expense voucher.
After reviewing the agenda for the Annual Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Hickory County Shelly Aubuchon moved to accept the agenda as presented. Sharon Barrett seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
The purpose of this meeting was to set the Hickory County Library tax rate.
Vice-President Sharon Barrett moved to set the Hickory County Library District tax rate at 0.1302 Shelly Aubuchon moved to second the motion. All in favor and the motion carried unanimously. Having no further business this meeting adjourned at 10:10am.

The regular meeting of the Hickory County Library Board was held September 10, 2018 at 10:00am in the Hickory County Library Community Room, at the Hickory County Library, 18376 New Hermitage Drive, Hermitage, Missouri, 65668.
President Hal Geltmacher called the meeting to order at 10:10am.

Stacy Coulsell, Library Administrator
Board Secretary Judy Baker was absent. Attendance was taken via the expense voucher.
After reviewing the agenda Gerda Fitts moved to approve the agenda as read. Shelly Aubuchon seconded, and the motion carried unanimously.
After reviewing the minutes Shelly Aubuchon moved to accept the minutes as read. Gerda Fitts seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Library Administrator Stacy Coulsell presented her monthly report. She reported that the Preschool and Head Start Story Hours would resume during September. She noted that there were a few programs remaining for the year. Ralph “Little Eagle” Williston will present a children’s program in October. Parasol Puppets will host a Children’s Christmas Puppet show in December and Walking Stick Studio has a tentative nature program booked for September. Coulsell also reported that she was continuing to compile data for the annual Statistical Report. She noted that the OverDrive software program, is looking to add magazine downloads to the choices offered through the “ebook” collection. The additional cost would be added to the annual membership fee and would be based on the population of the library.
Administrator Coulsell presented the Financial Reports for September. The balance as of September 10, 2018 was $58, 924.36 this reflects the balance of both the Library accounts. After hearing the Financial Reports for August. This balance includes memorial deposits in honor of Cora Nadine Allen, donations made on her behalf will purchase new genealogy items. Also including a donation from the Lucas Oil Foundation. Sharon Barrett moved to accept the Financial Report as presented. Shelly Aubuchon seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
Coulsell presented the Circulation Report for August the Library had 28 new cards during the month with a Total Circulation of 3790. Noting year highs in Children’s non-fiction, Outgoing Interlibrary Loans, and Adult Non-Fiction checkouts.
Under Library Association-there was none.
Under President’s report there was none.
Under Friends of the Library-the Friends will host their annual October Book Sale, beginning October 8, 2018 and run for a full week.
Under Old Business—the Pro Forma including the Library’s new tax rate would be submitted to the County Clerk and sent to the State Auditor’s Office to be in compliance with the law.
Under New Business-it was noted the Library had welcomed a new employee, Dawna Gann.
The next meeting is to be October 15, 2018 at 10:00am.
Having no further business and hearing no public comment the meeting adjourned at 10:55am.
